Sending Variations

Sending Variations

As discussed before, MUMARA offers a flexible way of scheduling an email campaign by exploring numbers of sending variations. Some of the sending variations are discussed below.

a)      Sending Multiple Campaigns to One List

Select one of the lists during the first step of scheduling an email campaign and proceed to the 2nd step to select the “Type” of the campaign. MUMARA offers a selection of the three campaign types as discussed in “Schedule an Email Campaign”. For both “Custom Campaign” and “Adnowledge Campaign”, you will have the ability to select more than one campaigns or ADK campaign IDs to schedule.

Rotation Rule

When you schedule the kind of campaign in which multiple emails/ADK IDs are selected to send to the subscribers of one email list, the application applies cyclic rotation. The following example further explains that how actually this combination of multiple campaigns for one list works?

 (Example)

For example, list “List-A” contains 15 subscribers, and you have selected three different email campaigns to send to the subscribers in “List-A”. The default rotation for such a campaign is cyclic, which sends the first email campaign from the row to the subscriber number one of the selected list, then 2nd campaign to subscriber number 2, and 3rd to subscriber number three respectively.
After the selected number of campaigns (3) finish their first cycle, the process repeats its course from subscriber number 4 who will receive the first campaign.

b)      Sending One Campaign to Multiple Lists

You can send to multiple lists by ticking the boxes with names of the lists during the first step in the process of scheduling a new campaign. Move forward by clicking next. You can select one of the three available campaign types, a) custom b) Adknowledge and c) split test. The selected campaign will be sent by following the sequence of the list creation date. The subscribers in the list created earlier will first receive the campaign, followed by the list created later.

c)       Sending Multiple Campaigns to Multiple Lists

You might have reached the third step “SMTP”, by selecting multiple lists and multiple campaigns during the course of completing the first and second steps. It may confuse that will this selection work or not? All other contemporary sending applications don’t facilitate this kind of sending. But with MUMARA this selection is perfectly appropriate for sending.

(Example)

The application will separate out one of the selected lists and will start sending all selected campaigns to it, by following the same cyclic rotation as mentioned above. For example, three lists and three campaigns are selected. The application will take the first list having 15 subscribers; the first subscriber will receive campaign number one, the second will receive campaign number two, and the third will receive campaign number three.
The same cycle will repeat its course from subscriber number four, and the cycle will repeat its course 5 times to complete sent to the particular list having 15 subscribers. After it completes sending to the first list, the second list undergoes the same process.

Subscriber Batch

One may think that the process will take enough time to complete, especially for a larger list having thousands of subscribers. But in the case of more than 200 subscribers in one send, MUMARA automatically breaks the number of subscribers into batches for fast sending.

d)      Selecting Multiple SMTPs for Sending

MUMARA allows setting up more than one SMTP accounts and also the selection of multiple SMTP accounts for sending. Available SMTP accounts appear during the 3rd step in the process of scheduling an email campaign. It facilitates for the selection of multiple SMTP accounts by ticking the checkboxes parallel to the name of each SMTP account in the list.

e)      Sending Multiple Campaigns Using Multiple SMTPs to One List

As mentioned above, MUMARA enables setting up more than one SMTP accounts and selection of multiple SMTP accounts during the process of scheduling an email campaign. To schedule multiple campaigns using multiple SMTPs to one list. Start by selecting the desired list and multiple campaigns during the first two steps respectively, and move to the third step for the selection of multiple SMTPs. Complete the rest of the requirements to schedule the email campaign and submit it.

The application will send this email campaign to the subscriber of the selected list by spinning the selected campaigns in cyclic rotation, cyclic rotation has been discussed above. For the SMTPs, the application will divide the number of subscribers in the list by the number of selected SMTPs to create subscriber batches. As a result of the division, the first batch will receive the campaign using the first SMTP account, and the next batch will receive the campaign using the next one.

f)       Sending Multiple Campaigns using Multiple SMTPs to Multiple List(s)

Follow the same selection pattern as mentioned above in the case of “sending multiple campaigns using multiple SMTP accounts to one list” except for the selection of subscriber list. For this variation, you need to select multiple subscriber lists during the first step of scheduling the email campaign. The rest of the things will remain the same as mentioned above.

The application will separate out one of the selected list(s) and will start sending campaigns by following the cyclic rotation. If the subscribers in the list exceed 200, the application automatically creates sending batches. Each batch will take 200 subscribers to work with in the first instance, and the next 200 after completing the first ones.

For the SMTPs; the application will divide the number of subscribers in the selected list(s) on the number of selected SMTPs to create subscriber batches. As a result of the division, the first batch will receive the campaigns using the first SMTP account, and the next batch will receive the campaign using the next one.

g)      Sending from Multiple Domains:

Domain selection has already been discussed before while explaining the 3rd step of the process of scheduling an email campaign. You can mask the domain of the current installation/ local domain with a masking domain setup in the selected SMTP.

Or you can also select more than one masking domain with the help of “Custom Selection” the third option to select a sending domain.  See the following Figure#4.6.1. If you select multiple sending domains, the application will follow the same pattern of rotating the selected domains in the cycle, cyclic rotation has been discussed various times.
