June 24, 2016 (2.09) Skip, Overwrite, Update or Ignore Duplicates while Importing
The new dropdown has been added towards to bottom of the “Import Subscribers” page. This will help to select one of the options among, 1) Skip duplicates while importing the file. 2) Ignore action for duplicates to import without making any changes. 3) overwrite the duplicates if found and 4) Update the duplicates with new values from the importing file.
A new link has been added under “Subscribers” in the left navigation menu, which says Update Subscribers in Bulk. It will help to update a large volume of subscriber’s status by importing the contact list from your computer or selecting from the saved files within the application. You can select to perform one of the actions among the available four actions to update the subscribers’ status accordingly. The available is “Delete” the subscribers in the importing file across the selected list(s), update the status as “Unsubscribed” across the selected list(s), turn subscriber status as bounced among “Soft” or “Hard”.
Mumara offers well categorized stats tables for all kind of campaigns, formerly, you assign permission to the complete stats table, now with this upgrade, you will be able to assign permission to specific columns of the stats table, using the User's Role Group. E.g. Permission to view column of "Opened" email contacts only for general email campaign. Eventually the users in the particular User's Role Group will only be having permission to view the "Opened" column of the Statistics Table.
The country field has been moved to the "Filter Search Results" sections, which now makes it possible to select multiple countries with the combination of other filters you have set. "Set Rule" section towards the bottom of the page has also got new options, to select between "Match all Conditions(And), or "Match any Conditions(Or), and to add multiple comma separated values in the 3rd field when setting up "Custom Field Filters"
General Optimizations and Bug Fixes
The option has been added to the User's Role Group, where you will be able to give permission to certain User's Group and eventually the users in it, to export, copy or move the segments, view the segmented contacts, and delete from the table. This option is available under "View Segments" in the "My List" permission checklist while creating the User's Role Group.
After the upgrade, your selection for the number of records that you want to view on a particular view page will remain stable, even if you refresh or sing-out from the application, your preferred selection for the number of records will remain saved. For example, if you have select that only 20 records will appear per one page of the "View all Lists", the application will remember your selection and will show 20 records even after refreshing the table, or signing out from the application, it will not revert to the default.
With this new feature upgrade, the admin user has now the ability to select among the predesigned email templates, and allow users the permission to send the selected template. A list of around 70 templates are readily available in Mumara, and we call them predesigned email template. Other than these predesigned templates, now you can also create your own separate templates for your users and can restrict your users to use only the allowed templates. Apart from 70 pre-designed templates, new templates for users can be created using "Create an Email Template" under "Email Templates" in the left navigation. And the access level for certain users can be defined in their User's Role Group.
Two more options are added for "Custom Field Filters" in "Segmentation", using the options to filter records less than a certain value or greater than a certain value can be segmented. For example, "First Name" "Custom Field Less Than" the value "E" will segment all records with the First Nameless than "E" and that segment will include records with the First Name starting from (Less Than E) values A, B, C, and D.
Once the segmented criteria are saved, go to the “View Segments” page and use the buttons under the “Actions” column to copy or move the segmented records to the selected list.
unsubscribe.html is the file that can now be customized with custom HTML for the unsubscribe page, it gives the ability to make unsubscribe page looks more personalized.
Mumara now offers the ability to view the graphical view of the domains on which the email campaign has performed the most. Moreover, the detailed statistical table is also available to view the domain-wise breakup of the email campaign stats. Both the Graphical View and Statistical Table can be seen by clicking “View Detailed Stats” under the “Action” column of the General Email Stats table. This feature is currently limited to General Email Stats only.

You will see this new field towards the bottom of the page “Create an Email Campaign” in the “Preview Email Campaign” section. In case you have created your campaign with custom variables, you need to fill this field with one of the emails from the current lists in your application. Email from the lists will only be used to obtain its data and populate the custom variable values in the preview of the email campaign, preview email campaign will still be sent to the emails provided in “Preview to Email” and “BCC Preview to Email.
You will be able to find this new feature in the main left navigational menu of Mumara. It gives you the ability to create sub-user groups, define their privileges in sub-user groups, and add new sub-user accounts for better workflow management. Sub-users are different from the general user accounts that one creates using the “User Management” module. A Sub-User doesn’t have the ability to manage its account separately; the admin account holder actually shares some of its privileges with the sub-users.
This new feature is available and can be reached by clicking “Custom Headers” under “Settings” in the left navigational menu. It offers simple two fields to put forward custom header Label and its Value. Custom email headers can be used for various purposes, like to add advanced tracking and some other related options.
General Optimizations and Bug Fixes
After the major upgrade in Mumara Segments, newly created segments can now directly be saved without having the need to copy or move to the lists. And saved segments can later be selected to send an email campaign. Previously, it was only the list(s) that can be selected to send email campaigns, but now, user has been given this option to select between “Lists” or “Segments” while scheduling an email campaign.
General Optimizations and Bug Fixes
The three fields towards the bottom of the Segments page will help to set custom criteria to segment records by Field data and Custom Field Data, like the example rule can be set as “Custom Field Contains particular Word/Name/Domain.
A new field has been added within "Application Settings" to provide "Unsubscribe Email" for List Unsubscribe Header. Filling the "Unsubscribe Email" field with an email will result in sending your email where the header will include both Email Based (mailto), and link based (HTTP) unsubscribe methods. It translates as a valuable tool for both, sender and the recipient. If you keep this field empty, the email header will then only contain web based (HTTP) unsubscribe method.
As it has become the standard practice to include the alt attribute for the images, the alt tag formerly lacking for the tracking image is now being added in this update.
It is a newly added option in the “Black Lists” selection page under “SMTP Accounts” in the left-navigational menu. The newly added dropdown offers three options, to overlook the SMTPs if listed on the selected blacklists, or auto Deactivate if Listed on Any of the Selected Blacklists, and last option is to Deactivate only if the particular SMTP is listed across all the selected Blacklists. Deactivated SMTP will no longer be able to send further email campaigns, therefore, select the appropriate option.
The newly added fields in the “Filter Opens” and “Filter Clicks” sections of “Segments”, will give this ability to create Geographical Segments of Opened, Clicked, Unopened, and Unclicked records. It gives the ability to segment records by “Country” and the ability to keep shirking the criteria for more targeted segmentation, which includes, Segment by Region, City, and Post Code/Zip. To find more details on this feature, give Mumara “Segments” a read from the user guide.
