How does it work?
Obtain Mumara API Key
Before you start, make sure that you have generated an API key for your Mumara. In order to generate one, follow the steps below.
- Login to your Mumara and navigate to Settings -> API key.
- Click on API Roles Tab and Create an API Role
- Give a Role Name and Description
- Select all privileges for the List Management and Contact Management
- Create an API Key and assign this newly created role to it
- Make sure the API Key status is set to Active
- Copy the API Key
Follow the steps below to set up a trigger using your Zapier account.
- Login to your Zapier account
- Click on the Make a Zap button

- Write Mumara in the search bar
- In Trigger Event, select New Contact Added and press the Continue button

- Click on Sign in to Mumara Button

- It will open a popup that will ask you to insert your Mumra domain and the API token that you have just generated. Insert both information and press the "Yes, Continue" button.

- Upon successful connection, the popup will disappear and you'll be taken to the Zapier platform having Mumara connected. Press the Continue button

- Zapier will fetch all Contact Lists from your Mumara. Select the Contact List that you want to connect to this zap

- Click on the Refresh fields button to fetch the latest contact lists in Mumara. Click Continue button

- Zapier will now try to find the most recent contact in the contact list that you have just connected above. Make sure you have at least one contact in the connected list. Click on the Test trigger button

- It will fetch all details for the most recent contact found in the list along with all additional/custom fields as shown in the snapshot below. Click Continue

- Select an application where you want to push the new contacts when added to Mumara.

- Select the Action event that you want to be performed.
- Authenticate the selected application and click the Continue button
- Setup the Action, Map the correct fields and press the Continue button
- Click the Test & Continue button
- Now the recently fetched contact from Mumara should be added to the connected application
You're all set now and when there is a new contact added to Mumara, the zap will run and push the new contact to the connected application.
The same way you have created the zap above, it's super easy to create an action that will add the contact to Mumara when the trigger runs.
More Triggers! We are in the process of developing more triggers that will help you automate more actions.
