The page “Delete Subscribers” helps to define the criteria to search and then automatically deleting the searched subscribers. The utility-based feature reduces the labor of deleting each subscriber one by one, either from its particular list or from the view all subscribers table.
First, select one or multiple subscriber lists, apply filters, search and delete the subscribers from the selected list(s).
The following fields will help to apply conditions to filter/search and then delete the searched records. The possible filters can be.
b.1) Unsubscribed
The dropdown options will help to apply one of the following conditions.
b.2) Bounced
The dropdown lets you search and automatically delete the subscriber’s emails categorized as “Hard” or “Soft” bounce by the system, here are the options...
b.3) Email Contains
The field next to “Email Contains” allows searching subscribers carrying some sort of commonality in their email addresses, like a domain name or local part (Before @) of email addresses.
The preferred criteria to search and delete all records which contain @gmail.com as their domain, keep the above dropdowns for “Unsubscribed” and “Bounced” at “All”. So that it may not apply any filter to the Gmail contacts who have unsubscribed or bounced back.
b.4) Email Doesn’t Contain
Follows the same process as discussed above for “Email Contains”. It searches the word/phrase which the email address of the subscribers doesn’t contain.
The preferred criteria to search and delete all records which don’t contain @gmail.com as their domain, keep the above dropdowns for “Unsubscribed” and “Bounced” at “All”. So that it may not apply any filter to the Gmail contacts who have unsubscribed or bounced back.
Email Contains is an extremely helpful feature in terms of searching and removing the invalid emails (Having Common Invalid Attributes) from the selected list(s). You can search for common invalid email attributes the email addresses contain across the selected list(s). For example, more than one @ is a common invalid email attribute.
As more than one @ is a commonly known invalid email attribute, having no @ creates an invalid email structure also. “Email Doesn’t Contain” can help to search the invalid email addresses that don’t contain @, it largely happens due to an unhygienic email list.
You can work with more than one above mentioned option and apply more than one filter to search and delete the subscribers from the lists. For instance, “Email Contains” and “Unsubscribed” can work together to search and delete the particular email addresses that contain some similar word, domain, local name (Before @) and at the same time flagged as unsubscribed within the list(s). You can explore as many combinations as are possible within the scope of “Search Setting”.
After you set preferred “Search Settings" for the application to search subscribers for deletion, click the button “Delete Subscribers” to proceed. A prompt message to confirm your selection will appear on your screen, and before it actually deletes the subscribers, the system will also show the number of records it has collected to delete.
